How to take care of jewellery
Put on your jewels last!
When dressing, put on jewels only after applying cosmetics, perfume, and hairspray, solvents in these products may dull or discolour your jewellery and can corrode the alloys in the jewellery.
Store your gemstones!
Store your jewellery in a clean, dry place, like a fabric-line jewellery case or box with jewellery compartments. Jewels need space to remain free of chips. Store gemstones individually in soft cloth pouches and prevent jewels from bumping against one another.
For Silver Jewellery!
Store silver in a cool, dry place, preferably in a tarnish-preventive bag or wrapped in a soft piece of felt or cloth. DO NOT wear sterling silver in chlorinated water or expose to bleach as they can damage or dis-colour the finish.
For Kundan and Polki jewellery!
Preserve your Kundan/Polki jewellery by placing them in a plastic or cloth pouch kept inside a plastic box. Never keep Kundan/Polki jewellery in steel almirah or boxes lined with velvet
